As of December 2021, FENIX® innovative materials for interior design, are carbon neutral.
This is the result of a favourable product build-up and the implementation of a long-term sustainability strategy. Becoming carbon neutral means that, based on the total quantity of square meters sold monthly, FENIX® will contribute to the reduction of CO emitted into the atmosphere through carbon offsetting projects. The selected carbon-captured projects are waste-to-energy facilities in which the methane gas released from the landfills is used to generate electricity.
Reducing the carbon footprint and reaching carbon neutrality are key parts
of Fenix’s overall sustainability policy.
FENIX NTM® – a super opaque nanotech material – is an innovative interior design product, created by Arpa Industriale, that combines elegant aesthetic solutions with state-of-the-art technological performance.
It is suitable for both vertical and horizontal use. The external surface of FENIX NTM® involves the use of nanotechnology and it is characterized by next generation acrylic resins, hardened and fixed with Electron Beam Curing process opening up new avenues in the field of interior design.
With low light reflectivity, its surface is extremely opaque, anti-fingerprint and features a very pleasant soft touch. Thanks to the use of nanotechnologies, FENIX NTM® thermally heals any superficial micro-scratches, as its name indicates.
Fenix NTA® is a real metal surface with the same characteristics as our Fenix NTM® product. Fenix is available in either a thin (0,7mm / 1,2mm) or compact laminate (2mm – 12mm thick) format.
THE FENIX KITCHEN SINKS COLLECTION REPRESENTS AN ELEGANT AND HARMONIC CHOICE THAT COMBINES PERFORMANCE WITH AESTHETIC.
The sink collection is made of an innovative “matt composite material” and suits FENIX look and feel perfectly. The exclusive material manufactured by Elleci S.p.A. is conceived for sink production and it is a blend of ceramic nanoparticles and six innovative acrylic resins. The special composition makes the sink highly resistant to impacts and thermal shocks. Its smooth surface allows a rapid flowing of water and creates a “lotus effect” that ease the cleaning. The UV protection prevents the sink from discoloration effects over time.
More innovative, more natural raw materials.
FENIX® is enriched with Bloom, a new core technology.
Sustainability is not something you dream about, but something you do. It’s about acting. True to this vision, Arpa Industriale has developed Bloom, a new core technology for Arpa HPL and FENIX NTM®.
The core of FENIX NTM are made of paper and thermosetting resins based on phenol. With Bloom, lignin technology has been introduced to significantly reduce the amount of phenol included in the resin by 50%. Lignin is a natural polymer defined as the glue that holds wood fibres together. With this innovation most of the key ingredients originate from the same place: responsibly managed forests.
A selection of 28 plain colours from the Colorsintesi family in three different finishes (Erre, Lucida and Kér) are now available in 0.7 mm thickness with Bloom black core.
