Looking Ahead

Max on Top’s recent inclusion into the Arpa Industriale stable has given them access to more than 60 years of experience. In 2020, you will see some of Arpa’s new decors and finishes and how they have harnessed the natural environment into its products, taking their dream on sustainability one step further and making it a reality…

Sustainability is about creating durable products and materials that stand the test of time. Arpa’s sustainability policy is based on a deeply felt motivation to shift from ‘being less bad’ for the environment to being ‘good’ and creating new value. True to this vision, Arpa has developed Bloom, a new core technology for Fenix and HPL. With its innovative technology, Bloom adds value to the design objects made out of it. And this is a key factor for environmental responsibility. The transition from short-lived and disposable items to long-lived and long-lasting products will mark an important point in the battle for a sustainable society. All of our products and their exceptional quality are a result of this vision, as they are, by definition, very durable, long lasting materials. Long live the design!

The Bloom range is available for a selection of twenty-eight decorative and for four new Fenix colours; Kashmir Yellow, Brac Green, Askja Red, Naxos Blue.
Through Arpa’s sustainable practices; design is never compromised; this includes staying abreast the industry trends with new decors and textures. We love textures. Designers and architects are trained to always look at the room as a whole and one area they give as much attention to as possible is texture. You will find such textures within Max on Top’s new 2020 HPL range. These HPLs’ have a structured finish to mimic the look and feel of wood, stone, slate and marble and combining such textures is key in bringing a room together. With 30 finishes to choose from Arpa’s general collection, unmatched and unrivalled, Max on Top is improving its HPL selection for local designers and architects, opening up new avenues of interior design.

Some of these finishes are available in the Bloom range which include Erre, Lucida and Kér. Erre finish distinguishes itself for its touch appeal; silky-smooth compact surfaces which soften colours and highlight the harmony of composition. Lucida is a mirror finish surface. A showpiece of the Arpa production; this finish gives a unique sheen to surfaces. Kér is a matt texture that adds sensuous tactility to its resistance; one should see this with the new marble decors! Launched in 2018, Kér won the “High Product Quality” Interzum Award 2019.

The long-awaited Fenix sinks have finally arrived! Max on Top is also excited to introduce the Fenix sinks in 2020. A solution of integrated sinks designed to match worktops made of Fenix. The sink collection is made of an innovative “matt composite material” and suits Fenix look and feel perfectly. Two different solutions: Drop in Sink and Integrated Sink. Architects and Designers are already looking at these for projects in the New Year.
You can also catch Max on Top at 100% Design in 2020 to showcase some of these fantastic new products including the Bloom range in HPL and Fenix, along with the Fenix sinks. We are also excited to see some of these products take shape in new design projects in South Africa and across Africa – Max on Top is certainly expanding its footprint across the continent – this we hope to share on social media…

CPD Accreditation. Yes, Max on Top is in the process of acquiring CPD accreditation. We will be ready from 2020, providing workshops to architects at their offices or at a nearby vicinity, through which CPD points can be acquired. More information will be shared in the New Year.
