Max on Top is taking the outbreak of the Coronavirus (“COVID 19”) very seriously and we are prepared for variations of its possible impact.

In his latest address to the nation, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the decision to implement a nationwide lockdown for 21 days with effect from midnight, Thursday the 26th of March. The lockdown has come about as a result of the rapid rate at which Coronavirus infections continued to increase within South Africa’s borders, as well as close observation of the epidemic’s development in other countries and South Africa’s own projections.

In the words of our president; “While this measure will have a considerable impact on people’s livelihoods, on the life of our society and on our economy, the human cost of delaying this action would be far, far greater” the president said.

How Will This Impact Your Dealings With Max On Top?

All our staff will still be available to assist you, albeit virtually. We have enabled all our staff to work from home to ensure that we can deliver all the services beyond deliveries of MOT products including sales, quotations, accounts, technical information, etc.

We encourage our clients to notify us of any orders that will be required after the lockdown so that we can make the necessary preparations and prevent any delays which may arise and assist you in hitting the ground running as soon as we are in the clear.

Our factory in Italy is still in operation and we will notify our clients of any changes that may result in a delay of new stock coming into the country.

Finally, we encourage everyone to adhere to the additional restrictions so we can flatten the curve. We have seen the number of COVID-19 cases increase six-fold in the space of eight days. It is our duty as citizens to do all we can to protect one another.
